How to Achieve πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈπŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

STOP πŸ›‘

Take at least a few minutes to stop your previous thoughts and process the following scenarios in your mind. Think how easy or difficult would it be to accomplish these goals.

  1. Shooting an arrow without looking at the target
  2. Scoring in basketball without looking at the basketball hoop
  3. Winning a cricket match without chasing a score

Now if all of these scenarios are reversed and you can look at your target, look at the hoop, or chase a score, how much easier will it be to accomplish these goals?

So is the case with our life, and with our professional dreams, which continue to remain very abstract and vague unless we do not have clear goals.

This week, we pushed you to think about your career plans and we hope that you are already devising your next steps. As you do so, based on the goals you have identified for yourself, we want to introduce you to writing SMART goals.

Let's watch the following video from Khan's Academy to understand what we mean:

REFLECTION QUESTION:

Answer your favorite question from either of these:

  1. ‘By writing goals that are SMART we stay more responsible in our actions and planning’ how do you think this happens?
  2. Can SMART goals be readjusted or should we strictly follow them once they are set? If they can be readjusted, what could help us decide when to readjust?
